Kunjapuri Temple is dedicated to Hindu Goddess Sati who is considered to be one of the 13 most important ladies of the Shivalik hills. According to a legend, the goddess Sati's torso fell here at that time when her husband Hindu god Shankar was taking her body to Kailash Mountains. The temple was built in the same place where Lord Shankar fell on his torso when he took his body.

Kunjapuri Trek –One day trek in Rishikesh , can go around the year sunrise time is vary every season so need to confirm sunrise time else you can miss amazing sunrise view which is main attraction of this trek. we can see mountain view if weather is clear, mostly winter season view is clear.

Neerghattu waterfall en route of this trek, its natural waterfall flows around the year. water is less compare to monsoon season but its enough to enjoy. Visitor/Trekkers should carry towel & clothes to change here after taking bath.its steep downhill trek from Kunjapuri Temple approx distance 9-10 km, on the way we will see sources of this waterfall near Neer Village. after enjoying waterfall trek down 1.5 km to Roadhead from where by vehicle drive to Tapovan, Rishikesh. Trek takes 6-7 hours to complete but it depends upon your trekking speed & time spending in exploring nature

Day 01- Rishikesh-Kunjapuri-Rishikesh

You will be picked up from our tapovan office in Rishikesh around 4/5 am and taken to the Kunjapuri Temple by taxi . Once you reach the temple you will climb 250 step to the inside, where you'll find a small shop where you can enjoy have a light breakfast and cup of tea and coffee. Wait here for sunrise, which lights up the Himalayas shining on the town of Rishikesh and the Gangas After the sunrise, start your trekking down The total trek is about 8 km so bring well gripped shoes. Along the way you'll pass mountains, villages, and more. Near the end of trek you will see the Neer Waterfall. Here, you can bath if you wish.
