Byasi is situated almost at a distance of 30 km from Rishikesh. It is a small hamlet and is popular for its white water rafting adventures. There are several popular rapids on the way from Byasi to Rishikesh such as the Daniel Dip, Roller Coaster, Hilton, Three Blind Mice, Double Trouble Initiation and Terminator. A few of these are rated as Grade 4 rapids and known as the paradise of rafting.

Haridwar railway station is well connected to major city stations of India such as Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Kolkata, and Varanasi. It is a one hour travel by road from Haridwar to Rishikesh, and one can travel by bus, auto or a taxi.
By Bus: Since Rishikesh is a very popular tourist destination, it has very good road networks. Reaching here by bus is possible from many places such as New Delhi, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Haridwar, and Shimla. AC and Non AC buses are available both from govt and private entities. It takes nearly 7 hours to cover a distance of 230 km from New Delhi to Rishikesh.
