Manali is situated in the banks of the Beas River covered with the mountains of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is located in the Kullu district about 270 km north of the state capital Shimla. In the old times Manali is the single route to Leh Ladakh, now this route is popular for tourism activities. Manali was once known as Manu. The word Manali is regarded as the changed name of "Manu-Alaya" which literally means "the abode of Manu". Legend has it that sage Manu stepped off his ark in Manali to recreate human life after a great flood had deluged the world. The Old Manali village has very old temple devoted to sage Manu.

Best Places to see in Manali

Kothi Village
16 km from Manali – If you are looking for some peace and calmness in this busy hill station, the small village of Kothi is a wonderful option. The small village of Kothi is surrounded by majestic snow capped peaks, the splendid Beas River flowing below and the arresting calm of nature. The village has been a backdrop for a number of films. Also a favorite destination for poets, writers and painters, the village is soaked in the magic of nature. From anywhere in the village, the view of mountains is amazing and breath taking to say the least.

Solang Valley
13 km from Manali You can easily hire a car or taxi from Manali, which will take you to the Solang Valley. Valley is covered with cascading mountains and the gently flowing Beas River. Solang Valley is famous for adventure sports, indulge in some skiing, paragliding or exciting ATB rides, during winters you can go for the intense 300-meter ski lift or other smaller lifts and jumps. There are a bundle of sports activities for kids like, zorbing, horse riding etc. You can pack in a big picnic basket and find the perfect picnic spot for a wonderful evening.

Rahala Waterfall
17 km from Manali – Rahala Falls at an altitude of 2,501 m. The waterfall is situated on the way to Rohtang Pass. You can also easily hire a car or taxi from Manali, which will take you to the Rahla Waterfalls. Visitor of Rohtang pass will halt for some moment and enjoy the waterfalls and mystical atmosphere. This place is popular during the summer seasons. The Rahala Waterfalls is not far from Manali. But still it is always recommended to start early so that the tourists can enjoy the Waterfalls and as well can continue their trip to Rotang Pass. Manali.

Manali Wildlife Sanctuary
2 km from Manali The Manali Wildlife Sanctuary is about 2 km from the Manali Town. The sanctuary spread is about 31.8 square kilometres. A bridle path from Manali log huts/ Dhungri temple passes through dense Deodar, Kail, Horse chestnut, Walnut and Maple forests. Night stay in tents at Lambadug or Gallant thatch is an unforgettable experience. Alpine lush green pastures and glaciers beyond Galant thatch are a romantic attraction for the enthusiastic but enduring visitors. One may see Musk deer, Monal and Brown bear digging or ploughing the land and also pug marks with scent of Leopard or Snow leopard. Those who venture up to snows can see herds of Ibex in the glacier zone in summers.

Day 1: Arriving at Manali Manali to Hamta Pass Chikka (3100m) by Cab

the morning Today leaving Manali, we drive 15 km south of Manali on the left bank of Beas River to Prini village. Starting point of our By passing through the Prini village and temple located above the village. We climb gradually for 3 hrs. until arriving at Hamta village and Sethan village. Sethan village is small settlements of early horseman known as Khampas of Tibetan origin. Who are mainly dealt with trekking mules up today 45-minute walk through alpine forest to the Panduropa, Panduropa is known for the small paddy field – where Pandavas of Mahabharata during their exile, spent a part of time in this region and said to be cultivated crops at Panduropa. Now we trek 1 hrs. Horizontally through thickly forested area with abundance of flowers untill reaching the campsite of Chikka Dinner & Overnight. one fire and DJ night.

Day 2: Chikka to Adventure Activity

fter breakfast start Trek to chikka up to snowline and adventure activity climbing, rappelling and valley crossing Lunch and Trek back to chikka overnight stay camp (One night Kullu local folk dance).

Day 3: Chikka to Manali by Car

Day 4: Manali – Delhi Departure

Morning after break-fast, Check-out from Hotel. Evening 4.30pm catch the volvo from Manali to proceed Delhi. Overnight Journey.

Terms And Conditions

Payments: For all the services contracted, certain advance payment should be made to hold the booking, on confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid either before your departure from your country or upon arrival in INDIA but definitely before the commencement of the services. Management personnels hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of the service & the time left for the commencement of the service.

Apart from above in some cases like Special Train Journeys, hotels or resorts bookings during the peak season (X-Mas, New Year), full payment is required to be sent in advance.

Mode of Payment: Overseas advance payment can be made through Wire Transfer to our bank.

Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:

  • 45 days prior to arrival: 15% of the Tour / service cost
  • 15 days prior to arrival: 50% of the Tour / service cost
  • 07 days prior to arrival: 75% of the Tour / service cost
  • 48 hours prior to arrival OR No Show: No Refund

Note: Written cancellation will accept on all working days, except Sunday, Any cancellation sent on Sunday's will be considered on next working day (Monday).

For the X-mas and new year period from 20 Dec to 05 Jan the payment is non-refundable.

In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Trekking, Tour and adventure actives in Himalayan region carry an inherent risk to life and goods. The natural calamities may cause injury and loss of life, which is beyond any control. Tour Uttarakhand does its best to minimize all types of risks, discomfort and hazard to the best of their ability, yet there are chances of accidents, mishaps and deficiency in service.




Advisory:

  • Any delay from the customer’s side will lead to cancellation of trek/ tour/ adventure activities.
  • Trekking Tour Adventure maybe cancelled due to some unavoidable circumstances i.e- weather condition, govt. notification, land sliding or any other natural calamity.
  • Trekking in Uttarakhand reserves the right to discontinue, modify any trek, tour & adventure activities without assigning any reasons or without any prior intimation whatsoever.
  • Anybody found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs medically or physically unfit (any serious ailment, weak heart conditions, epilepsy, asthma, expecting mothers etc.) unfit for any reasons in the wisdom of the trek leader/guide/instructor will not be allowed for trekking /tour/ adventure activities. Request for a refund or a discount in such situation will not be entertained. Decision of the trek lead/guide/management in this regard would be final.
  • Total decided package cost will not be affected if there is any reduction in the number of persons
  • Minimum required 50% of amount to get confirmed the trek/tour/adventure activities.
